Jodie Henson
4th Grade Teacher
Reading, Social Studies, English Language Arts, & Writing
I have two children, both boys. They are 7 and 6 and both attend Abney. My husband and I have been married 13 years. We have lived in Paulding County all our lives. We both attended and graduated from the State University of West Georgia. I have my Specialist's degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught first grade for 4 years before staying at home with my boys for six years. This is my second year teaching fourth grade, and I have LOVED every minute!
In my free time, I love to be outside with my family and reading. We live on a farm and have cows, a donkey (her name is Lucille), chickens, and cats. We are huge Tennessee Vols fans, GO BIG ORANGE and love going to college football games! We all enjoy snow skiing, riding four-wheelers, and deep sea fishing.
Both of our boys play sports. Asher plays soccer and Breck plays baseball. My husband is the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer and is on the news whenever Paulding County makes the news.
I love teaching and can't think of a more gratifying occupation. "I call the students "my kids" because throughout the year, they all become a part of my heart." I truly love teaching and want all of my kids to be happy, healthy, and knowledgable.
